2014 Lymington Lifeboat 10K and Children’s Fun Run's


Now in its 13th year this run takes place in the beautiful coastal location of Lymington on Sunday, May 11th, 2014. The course follows country lanes and the flat coastal path along the sea wall with fantastic views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.

Start and Finish in Woodside Park, Ridgeway Lane, Lymington, Hampshire SO41 8FP.

10K Race:
1. 13th anniversary of this chip-timed annual run
2. Woodside Park, Lymington SO41 8FP. Start at 10.00 am
3. The route is the same as for 2013
4. Flat and multi-terrain
5. Not suitable for wheel chairs
6. Kilometre markers
7. Water stop at ~ 5km

9. Entry fee £12 online (strongly preferred) £15 by post
10. Minimum age 15 years on race day
11. Last date for postal entries May 6th and online May 9th
12. Positively NO entries on the day
13. Entry limit 1300 runners
14. Limited changing, showers and toilets
15. Supervised baggage storage
16. Refreshments throughout the event
17. Medals, Mars Bars and bottled water for all finishers
18. Prizes and trophies:

  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd man
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd lady
  • 1st or next man 40–49yrs, 50–59yrs, 60+yrs
  • 1st or next lady 35–44yrs, 45–54yrs, 55+yrs
19. Sponsorship forms will be sent out with race packs

Children’s fun runs (organised by Life-in-Motion supported by Lymington Triathlon Club):
1. Three runs for children aged 5-14 yrs. Entry fee £3 (online prefered or by post)
2. 12-14 yrs (2Km) including inter-schools team trophy – Start after 10K at ~ 10:05 am
3. 9-11 yrs (1Km) – Start at ~ 11:25 am
4. 5-8 yrs (1Km) – Start at ~ 11:30 am
5. The entry limit is 150 for each age category
6. Last date for online entries or receiving postal entries May 9th
7. Positively NO entries on the day
8. The route is in the bottom half of Woodside Park, starting and finishing on the 10K start and finish lines. The route will be fully marshalled
9. Every child entering the run must be accompanied to the event by a parent or guardian, and be able to complete their run without parents’ assistance
10. All facilities provided for the 10K are also available to the children
11. All children will be given a t-shirt which is to be worn for their run
12. Medals, Mars Bars and bottled water for all finishers
13. Trophies for the 1st Boy and 1st Girl in each age group
14. Small prizes for first three Boys and Girls in each age group
15. 12-14 years Team Trophy for the school with the first 4 runners of any sex
16. Online entry is strongly preferred.
