Today we’re down on the channel islands. The sun is out in Jersey and the 2011 Standard Chartered Marathon is under way. The Marathon Relay will start shortly at 9:30 followed by the 3K Fun Run at 10:00.

Well done to Finlay Wright on finishing 1st in the 2011 Jersey Fun Run with a time of 00:09:58 also Congratulations to Catherine Billington the 1st female across the line in a time of 00:11:44. The results for the Fun Run are now available at www.chipresults.co.uk

A large round of applause goes out to the marathon runners in today’s heat the lead male was Jethro Lennox in an astonishing time of 2:32:05 and the lead female Shona Crombie-Hicks with an impressive time of 02:53:36.

We’d like to congratulate everyone who has taken part in today’s events and thank you to all the spectators for coming out and showing their support.
